Reallusion has made available five free 3D characters that are ready for animation. These characters, which include realistic and toon-style male and female figures, as well as a gender-neutral human, are part of the Character Creator (CC) character bases and use the CC3+ Base topology.
The characters are provided in OBJ, FBX, and ZTL formats, making them compatible with DCC tools such as Blender, Cinema 4D, Maya, and ZBrush. They are licensed for commercial use, expanding their utility across various disciplines including animation, games, motion graphics, and 3D printing.
Each character comes with 8K texture maps arranged in a UDIM layout, along with UV and anatomical overlays that highlight different body regions. The OBJ files consist of unified meshes, while the ZTL files, intended for use in ZBrush, include separate SubTools for the eyes, brows, teeth, and tongue.
The FBX files come equipped with character rigs for both full-body and facial animation, featuring over 150 facial morphs that enable realistic expressions and lip-syncing. These features provide artists with a high-quality base that can be customized to create unique assets.
The Character Creator character bases can be used in any modern DCC application or game engine. The ZTL files are compatible with ZBrush. While these assets are licensed for commercial use, including in games and VFX projects, the EULA prohibits the sale of characters derived from them on online marketplaces.
